The comforter has a smooth underside and a slightly shiny, coarse top layer, which some people have complained about. However, this design creates a neat tuck and pin effect and keeps the corners in place like in the product photos.

After using this set for 2 weeks, we are mostly satisfied with it. We did not use the bedskirt because it was too heavy to lift, but overall it is a good set. However, we feel that the price may not be justified by the comfort and stitching quality of the comforter. The set has an elegant look and the extra throw pillows are a nice touch.

Although I am a fan of this comforter set, the purple shade is not exactly as shown – it appears more plum than purple. The comforter itself is lightweight and thin, which may not be an issue for those who tend to sleep hot, but I plan on adding a quilt for extra warmth during the winter.
