Although the bookcase is nice, it produced a significant amount of non-recyclable plastic and styrofoam waste, as well as a large amount of cardboard that had to be taken to a recycling center. Unfortunately, the plastic waste will end up in a landfill or the ocean, resulting in extra fees for disposal.
